18 Jun APC chairman declares Ajimobi’s appointment illegal, threatens lawsuit
Micheal Akinleye, Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ado Ekiti Local Government, has compromised lawful activity against the arrangement of Abiola Ajimobi as Acting National Chairman.
This was contained in a letter on Wednesday to the National Working Committee (NWC) through his insight, Tunde Oke.
He called the NWC’s arrangement of the previous Oyo State Governor as “by and large nullity and hatred of court”.
Akinleye reminded the NWC that there is a pending case with suit No. FHC/AD/CS/8/2020 under the steady gaze of the Federal High Court in Ado-Ekiti.
He said the suit supplicated against any assignment of anybody to fill the Deputy National Chairman position Ajimobi holds and that the case was progressing

Among others reliefs, the suit implored that the workplace ought to be filled as per Article 20 of the All Progressive Congress Constitution 2014 (as revised).
Akinleye’s attorney noticed that until the case is resolved, Ajimobi’s arrangement as Deputy National Chairman (South), and now as Acting National Chairman of the gathering is a nullity.
The gathering executive said it is on record that “all the procedures documented in the suit host been served on all the gatherings which fills in as notice to keep up business as usual pending the assurance of the suit”.
The letter reviewed that, “when the suit was initiated by our Client, Ajimobi’s name had not been purportedly perceived by the National Working Committee of APC”.

“In any case, during the pendency of the Suit when appearance had been entered for all the Defendants, our consideration was attracted to a few paper distributions that the National Working Committee of APC has reported Sen. Abiola Ajimobi’s name as the Deputy National Chairman (South).”
APC had expressed that his arrangement got the help of five of the Six South West conditions of Oyo, Ondo, Osun, Ogun and Lagos and that just Ekiti fought the selection.
In the interim, the gathering has named Hilliard Etta to go about as the Acting National Chairman for the benefit of Ajimobi, who has been away from the general population over medical problems.
