The Defense Headquarters says the soldiers of Operation Lafiya Dole (OPLD), on Saturday, killed scores of Boko Haram and Islamic States of West Africa Province (ISWAP) fear mongers.
This followed an experience at Buni Gari town in Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe.
The Coordinator, Defense Media Operations, Maj.- Gen. John Enenche, in an announcement on Sunday, said that the soldiers of Sector 2 out of an auxiliary activity did the attack.
He uncovered that few weapons including one firearm truck, one Duska Anti Aircraft firearm, three GPMG, one PKT weapon, three AK47 rifles, huge reserve of ammo, ammo connects and arranged kinds of hard medications were recouped.
“During the fire battle which was won by our heroic soldiers there was no setback and no loss of gear on our side.
“The Armed Forces of Nigeria stay unfaltering and exceptionally dedicated to end the Boko Haram insurrection.
“The overall population is mentioned to keep on giving convenient and trustworthy data to the upgrade of our activities,” he said.
Enenche, in another announcement, revealed that the Air Component of Operation Hadarin Daji incurred further harms on furnished criminals in Katsina state on same day.
He clarified that the soldiers upset an assault on occupants of Kurechi and Qurzan Maikuka Villages of Dutsin-Ma Local Government Area of the state.
“This happened when NAF Agusta 109E (M) helicopter, which was giving close air backing to troops of the Land Component working West of Gusau in Zamfara State, was diverted to Kurechi and Qurzan Maikuka following reports of an outfitted outlaws’ assault on regular folks at the two networks.
“The helicopter showed up the scene and drew in the desperados, killing some of them while not many others got away with wounds. Hence, the two networks were protected because of the activity,” he included.
