The Lagos State Government has affirmed nineteen new Coronavirus cases in the state.
Prof. Associated Abayomi, the State Commissioner for Health made this known through his Twitter page on Friday.
The new affirmation brings the absolute number of COVID-19 cases in Lagos to 254.
He stated, “As of sixteenth April 2020, 19 new instances of COVID-19 contamination were affirmed in Lagos State.
He stated, “This brings the absolute number of affirmed COVID-19 Lagos cases to 254.
“5 completely recuperated COVID-19 patients were released.”
“Absolute released #COVID19 patients are currently 90. I ask you to continue watching #SocialDistancing and #StayHome to diminish the spread of #COVID19.”
Review that the NCDC, on its confirmed Twitter account, on Thursday said it recorded 35 new instances of COVID-19.
NCDC said it recorded 19 in Lagos, 9 in FCT, 5 in Kano and 2 in Oyo State.
